Philnew River and Green Renewable Holdings to Co-develop New Hydro Project in Bukidnon

MAKATI, Philippines, September 28, 2017 – Philnew River Power Corporation (PRPC), an affiliate company of Sta. Clara Power Corporation (SCPC), enters into a partnership with Green Renewable Holdings Corporation (GRHC) led by Senator Miguel Zubiri for the development of a 14-megawatt hydropower project in Bukidnon.

The project site is located in the municipality of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon Province, along the stretch of Mangima River between the barangays of Tankulan and Darilig. The hydro plant is expected to have a lifeline of 25 years and with the option to renew for another 25 years.

PRPC’s Chairman Nicandro Linao said that this power investment aims to boost the country’s renewable energy share which also supports the government’s long-term energy program to supply safe and sustainable green energy.
